A rebrand has been unveiled for a longstanding student services company in the UK, Anglo American Educational Services, which has lost the American part of its former name to become Anglo Educational Services (AES) – better reflecting the wide client group that the company now serves. AES organises accommodation, internships and educational tours, as well as other services such as classroom space.

Peter Lowy, CEO of , which has been in operation for over 40 years, said “removing the word American was an extremely difficult decision to make, particularly as the US student market was the core of the business”.

But he said it was important to modernise the brand given “the educational travel industry has seen huge growth in recent years and many of the big travel companies now have a stake in that market”.

AES was one of the first organisations in the UK established to provide support for American students participating in study abroad programmes, assisting with a variety of accommodation, academic and cultural services.

AES has partnered with agency umi Marketing for a year and after extensive consultation, it is launching its new look and logo this week at the conference in San Diego.

It now aims to pursue growth opportunities and attract students from all over the globe whilst continuing its work in the US market. AES assists over 5000 students each year and has more than a dozen properties across London, including a newly refurbished study centre in the heart of the university district.
