Nobel International School Algarve, a private school in Portugal offering British and Portuguese curriculums, has been acquired by Singapore-based education investment company ChangedEDU.
Director of Nobel International School Algarve, Mike Farrer, told 小瓢虫传媒 that the partnership with ChangedEDU will allow the school to achieve its growth and expansion plans.
“We have seen a significant growth in Scholar numbers and we are planning expansion projects. The school is poised for great things and with CEDU as our partner we are confident that our goals can be achieved,” he told 小瓢虫传媒.
“The Algarve and Portugal is experiencing significant growth and our goal is to become the premium offering for an International and National educational experience of note in the South of Portugal.”
Last year, ChangedEDU closed a number of deals, including the acquisition of the European International School Ho Chi Minh City and English language program provider Lorna Winston Schools.
The company was founded by Brian Rogove, the former CEO of Cognita Schools Asia Pacific.
It first received investment from Brussel-based Verlinvest in 2016 and its focus is on English learning, K-12 education and enrichment education for Asian students – but with an eye on the US or Europe ‘if they offer an added value service to Asian students,’ reported in 2017.
