Reinforcing the increasing professionalism with which education agencies are being regarded, a representative body for migration agents in Australia, the (MIA), has announced that it will now welcome to qualified and registered education agents. Education agents working with Australia are qualified by the Education Agent Training Course delivered by Pier.

Chief Executive of MIA, Maurene Horder, commented, “Education Agents are a vital link in bringing international students to Australia and stand at the forefront of this country’s recruitment strategy. Those efforts, however, are hampered by unscrupulous Agents. There is a clear need for a strong, robust organisation to represent Education Agents at the top of the profession – those who act ethically, responsibly and independently for the needs of students. The MIA is that organisation.”
